earlier today i heard two guys play "yoshimi battles the pink robots" on two acoustic guitars downtown at the antique fair. it made my day. then i heard a guy and a girl playing old-timey folk music on a dobro and washtub bass, and they played a couple of songs i requested. then i noticed the bass player's hand was bleeding from playing all afternoon (it looked like they were hard up for cash) so i bought them some bandaids. now i'm sitting in the sun eating one of my favorite cookies and drinking a beer. too bad The Mrs had to leave town and i have to go back to work tomorrow.
