i'm a true patriot

Posted by bryanz on Mon Apr 27 2009 21:41 (Link)
“…think about new and creative ways to engage young people in science and engineering, like science festivals, robotics competitions, and fairs that encourage young people to create, build, and invent — to be makers of things, not just consumers of things.”

finally, nerds are patriotic. in obama's speech today he endorsed making things, robotics, and participation in science festivals. pardon me while i go eat some apple pie, play baseball, and make fun of those who buy foreign cars.

zardoz

Posted by bryanz on Tue Apr 14 2009 22:58 (Link)
watch zardoz for a heady mix of 1970's sci-fi cinema and sean connery in a futuristic medieval speedo. it's painfully good.

Posted by bryanz on Tue Apr 14 2009 09:42 (Link)
interesting article on a diamond heist where thieves broke into a supposedly impenetrable vault. it reads like the plot to a hollywood movie.
