I was walking down the street the other day and saw a kid who was probably 10 years old talking to what seemed like a random surfer guy with a Scottish accent.
Kid: "What's Scotland like?"
Scottish guy: "Oh it's great, everyone wears kilts."
Kid: "Really?"
Scottish guy: "Yeah, and they're all drunk and fighting."
Kid: "Oh."
Scottish guy: "Just kidding, it's a nice place."

did you know the US and USSR tested high altitude (250 mile high) nuclear explosions in the early 60s, and the EMP blasts killed streetlights and affected electronics 930 miles away in hawaii? other interesting facts: the explosions created artificial radiation belts around the earth, the radiation belts wiped out 1/3 of LEO satellites, and the radiation fell to the earth and was detected in fungi and lichen?
