i tell you what, city boy. when it rains, it pours. in one day i go from chicken-with-its-head-cut-off disarray and general life chaos to one neat, tied up, done deal. yesterday i got a new job, a new apartment, and a zero-free-time schedule for the next two weeks. i move to the bay area on the 22nd, my last day at work here is the 24th, and my first day at work there is the 25th. yeow-zah.

also, i just got a call from google to come in for an interview. sorry guys, you're four hours too late. that was kind of a nice surprise though, i never thought google would be interested in little ol' me.

occasionally i'll be at the gas station, doing my part to melt the ice caps and keep the saudis from going broke, and someone will ask me about my car or compliment me on it. it makes me feel all warm and tingly inside. today a big guy in a huge diesel pickup truck pulls up behind me at the pump and asks what kind of gas mileage i get. "32 miles to the gallon, but i have the bigger supercharged engine" says i. "wow!" says he, taking out a mortgage on his house to fill up his incredibly large truck. "that's one nice looking car" he said. i thanked him and smiled. but the best part of the story my friends is when i look to my left and see beauregard mcfancypants gassing up his new red porsche, with a "what about my car? it looks nice too..." sad puppy dog look in his eyes. tee hee.
