I was thinking the other day that I haven't posted to my web log in a while, so here I am.
News from the land of Bryan:
I went to visit Josh in Sonoma/Napa and went wine tasting. Damn that was fun. I like free wine.
Note to self: Do not mix multiple types of wine with reckless abandon. While I have been drunker, I have yet to be sicker. I still haven't ever thrown up from too much alcohol, but gaw-DAMN mixing wines can make a brother feel nasty.
I just moved into a new office this week. It's a good size office for just myself and Jerry, the head of security/firewalls. I pity the poor bastards they're cramming in six to an office. It's got a good view and on a clear day I might be able to see my house 35 miles away across the Monterey Bay.
I'm the head of security and the firewall team while Jerry's on vacation for the next month. I almost had an aneurism the first few days because of the stress and workload. Then I had an epiphany and realized that I'm one person, I have 8 hours each day to get my work done, and I'll get done what I can get done. No one can pay me enough to give up my happiness, mental well-being, and health. So now I'm much less stressed and back to enjoying life.
I'm leaving Tuesday to go to South America for two weeks. I'll get to see Katie and tour Chile and Argentina, which will kick much ass. I haven't seen Katie since June so I'm sure I'll soil myself when I get there. I'll be back on the 17th, and Katie will come back on Christmas Day.

Tracking down hackers and network anomalies is fun. I feel like Sherlock Holmes.
I love how I get paid to do what I consider a hobby.
The best 4 grand I've ever spent

Grand Total from my trip to Europe: $4044.39
I should burn money like a crack whore in Saks 5th Avenue more often. It's fun. =)
In case you're interested, the plane ticket was $964, and my unlimited 1 month student Eurail pass was $693.
On a side note, the best Halloween costume I saw this year was a guy dressed up as a priest. He had a waist-high stuffed child with him... attached face-first to his crotch. Completely tasteless, yet so funny. Why do I have the feeling I'm going to hell?

Last Friday while I was at work the Army decided to burn off a few hundred acres of what used to be a bombing range. It's fun to watch things burn, especially when you hear unexploded ordinance meeting its maker. I also saw the coolest thing in the world- a helicopter with a bucket that looked like it was going to put out the fire but it actually dropped napalm! Now that's the way to start a fire. Only problem was the winds shifted and the "controlled burn" turned into more of an uncontrolled burn. Oops.
Pictures are are in the picture section. I'm too lazy to link to it.
Halloween was fun, especially watching Drunk Clay dance in his Spongebob Squarepants costume and hitting on poor unsuspecting girls. Pictures are you know where.
I went to my first tailgate party and second football game. Stanford vs UCLA. I always love hanging out with Katie's family and friends. There's never a shortage of food, alcohol, or crude sexual humor. After the game the Stanford band was right next to our car playing for some family that always brings them food. That was pretty cool. I'll let you guess where the pictures are.
I GET TO SEE KATIE IN ONE MONTH!!! w00 h00!!
